XVIIIth congress of the World Veterinary Poultry Association

(22.05.2013) Only a few months prior to the major event for everyone involved in poultry health: the XVIIIth congress of the World Veterinary Poultry Association (19th -23rd August 2013, Nantes, France)

The organizing committee is pleased to offer a great scientific programme including conferences, workshops, technical visits and commercial exhibition, as well as a varied and attractive supporting social programme.

XVIIIth congress of the World Veterinary Poultry Association The provisional full programme is now online. The scientific committee has selected 145 oral communications spread over 16 sessions. Each session will be introduced by a keynote lecture, in plenary session. Simultaneous translation from English into French will be provided for conferences in plenary session.

More than 400 posters will be presented during the 4 days of the congress. This year, a Poster prize will be attributed per session with the financial support of the WVPA and the GF-AMVA, the French branch of the WVPA.

Let’s have a look at the technical visits, which are going to conclude the congress, on Friday, 23rd August in the afternoon:

  1. Visit of an animal husbandry applied research station
  2. Visit of a modern broiler slaughterhouse
  3. Visit of a genetic selection company belonging to the world 2nd largest multi-species breeding company
  4. Visit one of the French largest cooperative of free-range poultry (broiler and laying hens)
  5. Visit of a new low energy poultry farm

This is really a unique opportunity to visit such facilities together with French professionals and experts.
